The Jitterbug Cell Phone

By Lillian G. W

The Jitterbug Cell Phone is most commonly considered an "old people's phone". This is because the numbers and the screen displays on these Phones are so big that it is easy for an elderly person to read. It could also be due to the fact that the company uses elderly people predominantly in their advertising, too. But the Jitterbug cell phone can be for anybody.

Any person with poor eyesight would appreciate the Jitterbug Cell Phone's extra large keypad and the fact that the text on the screen displays at about five times that of most cell phone text. The large keypad is perfect for someone with arthritis or other problems with their hands.

Unlike twenty years ago when it was safer for children to walk a few blocks to visit their friends in large cities and small towns, parents now feel that they need to keep better track of their children when they are out of sight. The Jitterbug is perfect for young children who might have trouble remembering their phone number if they need it, or if something would happen that they need you right away, the Jitterbug can be programmed that the large, center button calls home immediately when pushed.

Many adults want a cell phone and not a miniature computer/stereo/camera/game system/remote/kitchen sink in their pocket. Many adults just want something that they can use to make and receive calls when they are on the road. The Jitterbug cell phone is perfect for these folks who don't want to spend $300 on a cell phone with a bunch of gadgets that they will never use, along with an outrageous bill every month.

The Jitterbug cell phone comes with many plan options, from a specified amount of minutes to pay by the minute to prepaid minutes. No matter how often or how little you will be using the phone, there is a plan that will easily fit into your budget.

It is unfortunate that the Jitterbug cell phone is advertised as a cell phone for old people because all of the other people who could benefit from a simple, inexpensive cell phone like the Jitterbug are not even considering it. Don't pay attention to those ads on TV, go ahead and get a Jitterbug for yourself or for your children. Just make sure to turn the channel when those ads come on so the kids don't refuse to carry the Jitterbug.
